Summary: An established east coast intermodal equipment company is seeking a seasoned commercial executive to serve on the executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, the CCO is responsible for defining and executing the company’s commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, and customer engagement. The CCO will provide strategic leadership across sales, business development, marketing, and customer experience, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall mission, vision, and business objectives.
Location: Any eastern region U.S. location is acceptable. (Regular eastern region travel is expected.)
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roles within the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry. Must have demonstrated success driving revenue growth in an asset-intensive environment.
Proven experience leading and developing multi-functional commercial teams, including sales, business development, and marketing.
Strong industry expertise in transportation and logistics required, with preferred experience in port/terminal operations, intermodal environments, and/or large motor carrier networks.
Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and expand relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including beneficial cargo owners (BCOs), third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and ocean carriers.
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate data, market intelligence, and competitive insights into actionable commercial strategies.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and will be adept at creating and delivering highly professional presentations.
Compensation & Benefits:$275K - $315K annual base salary target plus eligible for other compensation programs.
