Experience resolving inventory discrepancies and/or transportation related issues.
Demonstrated knowledge of asset management, including previous experience with managing multiple inventories and inventory cycles
Experience writing standard policy, procedures and training documents.
Experience utilizing TMA or similar software.

Job Description:
Summary Supervises daily operations of logistics and support services for the Department of Residence, including facilities and personnel. Manages warehouse and stockroom operations, Service Center operations, daily operations of purchasing and logistics of goods and services to support DoR Facility Operations. Buyer for the Department of Residence and serves as Department liaison with the ISU Purchasing Department.
The successful candidate must also have excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of priorities simultaneously. Candidate must have extensive computer skills in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software, such as, tracking, point of sale, warehouse management and work order management systems. This position also has extensive contact with customers and third-party logistics companies and collaborates with peers at other institutions, government agencies and industry colleagues. The successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate, both written and verbally, with sensitivity, accuracy, and clarity, as well as the ability to foster excellent interpersonal relationships with diverse groups and individuals, both internal and external to the university; resolve complaints; and seek solutions to unique situations and customer requests.
Example of Duties Manages all third-party logistics regarding inbound and outbound daily deliveries to and from university. Oversees the Central Receiving electronic tracking system. Develops inventory strategies that optimize inventory levels and the investment in inventories. Oversees the receipt and management of inventory items. Works with vendors on developing contracts, prioritizing inventories, and testing and evaluating products. Reviews methods and advise management regarding marketing and promotion of products. Establishes, updates and reviews policies and procedures used by the department in order to assure compliance with university policies and State and Federal laws. Responds to complaints and grievances from faculty, staff, students, and the public concerning various facets of department activities. Serves as a resource person and/or recommends solutions to specific problems for administrators and university offices or departments. Acts as liaison for the department with various units, committees or task forces. Evaluates the effectiveness of specific functional operations, recommends organizational changes and determines equipment needs in order to achieve departmental goals. Represents the department in the absence of leadership. Interviews, hires, supervises, and evaluates staff, initiates disciplinary process, and resolves employee complaints and grievances.
