The purpose of this position is to provide customer service and support to Hospital operating room operations. Incumbent works directly with OR surgeons and nursing supervisors to ensure critical OR supplies are readily available and PAR levels are set adequately. Incumbent is also responsible for adding and removing OR supplies to and from our perpetual inventory to supplement fast moving items from depleting and becoming outdated, and notifies OR staff of any supply changes, IE, back orders, overstock, substitute and discontinued products and recommending permanent replacement products in conjunction with the Purchasing Department.
Incumbent must independently ensure that tasks are timely prioritized and that all shift - assigned tasks are completed. Special assignments are to be completed if/when regularly scheduled tasks are completed, therefore incumbent must be self-motivated and in sync with co-workers on project status. Primarily assigned to work the hospital operating departments, the incumbent singularly represents the entire department. Therefore, the individual must serve as a technical expert and perform tasks and possess overall skills and knowledge regarding operating room medical supplies, patient equipment; patient care organizational information and the resources to draw upon; overall Distribution department general functions.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Extensive experience with OR and clinical supplies, instrumentation, and equipment and know their applications and suitable substitutions. Experience in maintaining multiple filing systems, records, and logistical information is required in this position. Proficiency in and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience, general understanding and recognition of medical equipment hospital/clinical setting are required.
