TheUniversity of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Center for Professional Education isthe premier provider of a variety of professional training programs inSoutheast Tennessee.The center isseeking a highly motivated individual to join its team as an Assistant Directorof Business Development.This positionwill be responsible for developing new corporate partnerships; with a primaryfocus on Southeast, Tennessee and Northwest, Georgia and a secondary focus onexpanding UTC's non-credit reach along the I-24 corridor to Nashville.While a robust portfolio of training programsmay be promoted, there is a strong interest in individuals who have experienceand understanding of Supply Chain & Logistics and Information Technology(including new and emerging technologies).The individual in this role will be a direct extension of the University'scommunity engagement strategy.
Identifymarket trends for training that are relevant to corporate growth and successand create a portfolio of training opportunities that strategically supportthis growth.
Alignresources available, through UTC's faculty and extended faculty of localpractitioners, to support training and development programs.
Utilize aCRM to manage leads and sales conversions.
Developstrategic partnerships with professional associations, industry consortia,workforce boards and other relevant community entities.
Developstrategic partnerships with curriculum vendors and practitioner educators.
Participatein community think-tank sessions, focus groups, and networking strategies thatsupport corporate growth and talent development.
Identifystakeholders and community partners to inform strategy for growth and delivery.
Strategic, Consultative Sales Approach - apply solid judgement,critical thinking and problem solving in all phases of discovery, design,implementation and follow up for customized training programs
Relationship Building - develop solid and productive workingrelationships with clients, internal staff and external resources
New Business Development - use influence skills to buildrelationships with organizations and key individuals for both new and existingclients
Project Management Skills - ability to apply solid projectmanagement skills to the coordination all aspects of customized trainingprograms
Represent theUTC brand in a professional manner that establishes and strengthenspartnerships.
Grow acorporate training portfolio that generates revenue and has high yieldfinancial impact.
Contributeto a growth strategy that establishes UTC's Center for Professional Educationas a premier provider of corporate training across the region and the state.
