Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Indirect Strategic Sourcing Manager, who will manage the Corporate Indirect and IT Sourcing Team to implement and execute strategies for an assigned category portfolio.
Responsibilities • Manages direct reports through IT and Indirect category management, spend & needs analysis, market evaluation, and development of appropriate plans to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives • Ensures 7-step sourcing process requirements are implemented by team • Participates in and leads interdepartmental medium to high value sourcing initiatives to generate savings and operational efficiencies • Locates, analyzes, and develops preferred sources of supply, both domestically and internationally, to satisfy business requirements • Implements and manages strategic partnerships with key high spend and value suppliers • Works with management team and direct reports to ensure strategic IT and Indirect projects supporting new builds, refits, revitalizations, and capital initiatives are carefully planned and effectively executed for optimal savings and on-time delivery • Works with various parties to establish savings targets, then tracks and reports savings on a regular basis • Represents and leads Holland America Group participation in Carnival Corporation Global Strategic Sourcing initiatives • Ensures executed projects are monitored, managed, and reassessed as needed • Networks and communicates frequently with shipboard and Shoreside customer organizations to build effective working relationships • Solicits customer feedback for performance improvements and takes corrective action, as needed, to ensure established customer service targets, goals and deadlines are met • Oversees the development and maintenance of role descriptions for direct reports • Leads direct reports to establish and meet annual goals that support department and company strategy and are consistent with their KRAs • Manages Team’s performance through informal/formal meetings and annual performance review process • Plans and implements sourcing training and skills development within agreed training budget • Ensures the organizational structure and manning of the team can effectively execute the goals, company values, and objectives of the department • Recruits and interviews for Team’s open positions • Manages direct reports to ensure projects comply with applicable company policy, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and governmental laws and regulations. • Promotes a harassment-free environment by upholding standards mandated by law and the company Employee Handbook • Ensures adherence to workplace safety, confidentiality, and reporting guidelines
Requirements • BS degree with experience in Supply Chain management and sourcing • Minimum of 5 years related experience in purchasing and contracting with progressively responsible assignments including project procurement and management, professional services and contracting • Prior strategic sourcing experience • Strong negotiation skills and practices, price/cost analysis, contract formation and administration, project planning/execution, 7 step sourcing, and logistics process • Strong leadership and management skills • Experience in managing & facilitating cross functional teams
Preferences • MBA and/or CPM or CPSM certification preferred
