Job Responsibilities Senior Contract Manager is responsible for the entire contract life-cycle for the largest, most complex, and highest risk enterprise vendors supporting our corporate functions, including HR, Communications, Treasury, Tax, and IT (Contract, Performance, Relationship Management).
Highly skilled in contract sourcing including the development of RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, BAAs, and NDAs. Also, has deep contracting and commercial experience, including developing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Contract administration and risk management; expert-level knowledge of all contract terms and conditions. Able to develop an understanding of which terms are required and what contract language is acceptable within enterprise risk tolerances.
Develops and implements recommendations regarding procurement strategies to support enterprise goals and objectives.
Uses extensive professional knowledge and experience of principles and techniques of negotiation to advise the business; directs and secures the best outcome for the company; maximizes leverage control and leads complex and critical negotiations.
Negotiates contracts balancing best-in-class contractual terms, risk mitigation, and maximization of value delivered to Weyerhaeuser.
Develops and maintains relationships with key business partners to understand and support their vendor needs.
Drives the development of contract standards and templates as the primary methodology for ensuring value and operational excellence objectives.
Excellent business and financial acumen with an understanding of accounting and finance principles and financial analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and evaluate business solutions.
Expert level negotiation skills. Facilitates and leads complex contract negotiations in partnership with senior management. (Strategy, Forecasting, Financial Modeling, Risk Management, Compliance).
Develop subject matter expertise in contractual requirements and issues related to enterprise HR and Finance services, such as medical, dental, tax, and banking.
CPM or CPSM certification or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive, relevant procurement and vendor management experience, particularly with HR and Finance business processes, or equivalent relevant business experience.
