The HID Global Supply Chain Design Engineer will be instrumental in leading the ongoing efforts to orchestrate the development of our global Supply Chain. This will be a highly collaborative role that supports our Emerging Market and Acquisition strategies, and fully supports our end to end Supply Chain improvement efforts to enhance our Customer’s Experience. This role will develop Strategic data-based recommendations for Global fulfillment footprint and product flows, as well as early-stage implementation planning.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Help craft Strategies and Designs for regional and global supply, delivery, and fulfillment
Acquire, consume, and understand large, complex, non-standard data sets
Build models using appropriate analytic tools / modeling software
Design and Model scenarios to fit differing business objectives to include: Market geographies, inventory, costs, freight, operations, lead time, supply chain risk, new product introductions, and trade implications
Build with an eye toward repeatability and scalability
Create appropriate visualizations to support communication
Documentation of inputs, approach, and assumptions
Model and measure impacts

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Business, or related Technical field (MSSCM / MSM)
Minimum eight years of experience in Supply Chain design
Demonstrate a solid quantitative background, including experience in applying optimization and/or simulation techniques
Knowledge of Logistics costing methods and landed cost models
Experience in developing and supporting Strategic initiatives
Broad international experience highly desired but not required
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Highly proficient with data analytics tools, such as Tableau and Alteryx,
Familiarity with analytic, visualization, and modeling software
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Database skills such as SQL and Access would be an added benefit

Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Quality / Detail oriented with a highly collaborative nature
Affinity for working with ambiguity
Comfort with navigating a matrixed organization with many stakeholders
