The Vice President will be a key member of the company's global operations leadership team, and will report directly to the Group Vice President. The Vice President will lead a team of direct reports along with their respective organizations responsible for product and component assembly, product repair, distribution center infrastructure, operations and inventory management along with logistics. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, strategic, highly engaging, people-oriented, and proven global supply chain professional/leader.
It is absolutely essential that the selected candidate possess the types of knowledge experience gained from working in a highly developed and leading-edge global supply chain organization, along with the strategic and leadership skills to both envision and then implement/influence transformational change within the company overall. The Vice President will take the lead on the development and implementation of leading-edge assembly / production operations, distribution operations, and logistics strategies and programs.
Work with his/her peers and the GVP to enhance and execute on an integrated global operations, distribution and logistics strategy and process all of which support the company’s growth, customer service and profitability plans.
Partner with his/her peers and the GVP to maximize scheduling, demand and inventory planning/replenishment, production, repair and logistics processes. Provide direct oversight and guidance to the America’s operations footprint (US, Canada and South America) and continued efforts to optimize operations overall.
Lead all custom new product production / assembly and repair efforts in the Americas ensuring productivity, quality, turn time and cost of the production and repair is in line with established Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Champion all efforts within the America’s region to effectively measure and report on these KPI’s.
Review laboratory development activities, customer complaints, inline rejects and historical data on a regular basis to help the continuous product improvement process.
Maintain effective communications with the GVP, peers to provide a leadership role in maximizing quality customer service and provide appropriate feedback to all on any/all potential “global” issues.
Work closely with the GVP Operations, corporate functional leads, regional peers, local operations management and human resources on a regular basis regarding all HR matters. Play a key role in all talent and succession management efforts - allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to all staff and developing the talent needed to further a proactive organization.
Develop a detailed understanding of the functionality of existing ERP systems and work closely with the operating group leaders and IT to oversee the continual improvement and effectiveness of systems overall.

Position Compensation and Benefits
In addition to having an opportunity to join and assist in the success and growth of this company overall, the role has a very competitive compensation package that will include an attractive base salary, an aggressive annual incentive and equity participation program (over time).
15+ years of experience in operations, logistics, transportation, warehousing/inventory management, preferably in a multi-site distribution setting with higher volume/SKU activity.
Significant direct management experience (5+ years) along with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and lead high performance teams.
Strong business and financial acumen, ability to provide accurate and timely support to the overall business.
Strong problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level with a proven ability to analyze complex problems and provide simple solutions.
Strong Lean and Continuous Improvement experience with demonstrated understanding of best practice business processes in general.
Demonstrated leadership style that is highly collaborative and results oriented. A hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, interfacing in a collaborative manner with operating management at all levels – with a high degree of personal integrity.
Demonstrated strategic skill set with ability and proven supply chain experience around in outlining a strong vision for operations, distribution, inventory management and logistics.
Solid systems orientation having utilized technologically advanced systems/processes (preferably SAP) in operations, warehousing, inventory management and transportation.
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and successfully lead employees in change management, cultural assimilation, and individual empowerment.
Demonstrated excellence in both written and oral communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or other technical discipline. MBA preferred.
Willingness to travel – sometimes extensively (50%).
