Unilever United States, Inc. seeks a Procurement Manager in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Work You’ll Do
Support an essential function within North America related to the procurement of third party manufacturing services through the identification and development of supplier relationships. Implement and drive the procurement strategy in alignment with overall supply chain strategy. Forecast prices and analyze market and delivery systems to ensure continuous operations and flow of materials. Support the delivery of bottom line savings by liaising with various cross-functional teams and suppliers to perform cost and scenario analysis, identify saving opportunities and implement cost reduction programs. Build partnerships with key new and existing co-packers. Support suppliers' and co-packers' onboarding procedure, including ensuring their compliance with quality audits, internal control requirements, sourcing practices and laws and regulations. Support the Procurement Director in developing the third-party manufacturing portfolio, including defining the sourcing strategy, interviewing manufacturers for innovation projects, negotiating contracts, payment methods and pricing. Prepare reports regarding market conditions and competitor positions to senior leadership.
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field and 5 years of progressive post baccalaureate work experience. Must have procurement experience in the consumer goods industry.
Must have experience in the following:
Building relationships with key regional and global suppliers;
Participating in purchasing, pricing, and payment term negotiations;
Analyzing and tracking market indicators for raw materials and other market indicators to forecast pricing trends;
Selecting third party manufacturing suppliers to deploy innovation projects and partner to bring new products to the market while following company standards and competitive conditions;
Developing and implementing cost saving projects via a Software Reporting System (SRS);
Reviewing and evaluating requests for quotation and tendering with suppliers; and
Developing supply management sourcing strategies to optimize costs and maximize scale with quality and service standards while ensuring compliance to company and industry standards.
