Demand and Supply Planner III (1900377) – Houston, TX
Where the Chemistry Happens
As a member of the North American Supply Chain team, the Demand and Supply Chain planner you will be responsible for managing all aspects of planning and inventory management for imported and domestically sourced products. You will ensure product availability at defined locations based on demand and local inventory targets and will be responsible for maintaining targeted inventory levels while utilizing defines supply chain processes (such as safety stock setting and inventory stocking strategies). Interacting with Customer Care you will provide status reports on product availability for customers' orders as well as with Product Management and Sales to manage the back order and allocation process. Additionally, you will back up other Demand and Supply Planners including Tolling operations for Oilfield and Mining in NA.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field with 3-6 years' experience in Supply Chain Management (or related business function), you will have e nd-to-end accountability for the regional supply chain planning (e.g. demand, supply and inventories) and drive continuous improvement of the Demand and Supply Planning processes. You will additionally be responsible for midterm rough cut planning (M3-M18).
Using your sound understanding of current SCM concepts, you will maintain demand and supply plans in APO based on financial plans and opportunities. You will also manage supply issues, shutdowns, new demands, unhealthy stock levels;
Communicating effectively across the business, you will build relationships with supplying units and external suppliers. Currently the Business Unit (BU) is supported regionally, however, it is a global business and many products are managed globally. This requires you to facilitate and direct the day-to-day operational execution that enables the application of this global strategy in North America.
Your robust leadership and analytical skills will be vital as you drive the demand portion of the S&OP Process. This requires close collaboration with the NA EVG Sales team to exchange and validate demand/forecasts.
Utilizing your strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks effectively, you will be accountable for inventory levels and future projection for finished products and establish inventory strategies and supply concepts while participating in business projects.
Your knowledge of querying/database/spreadsheet applications (e.g. SAP R/3, SNP, MS Office) will be essential as you work daily with computer systems to meet objectives. APICS certification or nearing completion of certification will be considered an asset.
Your entrepreneurial mindset and resourcefulness will be essential as you steer both the demand and supply planning as well as communicate effectively to negotiate cross functionally throughout all levels of the organization. Your p articipation in regional sales meetings to fully understand business backgrounds will also be required.
