The Senior Manager Supply Chain oversees and monitors the Enterprise Spend Management (ESM) supply chain operations, and leads the strategic development and implementation of sourcing metrics and procurement systems.
Execute an enterprise-wide supply chain strategy aligned by spend categories. Directly manage enterprise-wide commodity categories, and coordinate supply chain activities for specialized categories specific to business units/partners.
Oversee the strategic sourcing cycle, including spend analytics, supply market analysis, supplier evaluation, and selection, contracting, and supplier performance management.
Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures that are actively maintained and enforced.
Standardize contracts, service level agreements, systems, and processes across the organization.
Develop business unit relationships with category owners and couple with dedicated supply chain category managers.
Balance responsibilities of the Vendor Management group and Category Managers.
Market supply chain strategy throughout the organization and ensure on-going support of business units. Foster awareness and education of leading practices throughout the organization.
Oversee management of the supplier life cycle, including selection, contracts, on-boarding, monitoring/reviewing, and performance measurement.
Plan and manage the demand for supply chain activities by monitoring supplier contracts across the organization.
Ensure business units are provided with proactive analysis, options, and recommendations for supplier selection for new and expiring contracts.
Direct the development and implementation of the infrastructure to support enterprise-wide supplier management, including spend analytics tools, sourcing tools, supplier master management tools, and contract management tools for supplier reporting.
Oversee supplier diversity initiatives.
Oversee supplier operations including payment services.
Perform financial and operations analytics on key components, including third party spend by category and supplier.
Manage the achievement of cost reduction targets as established through the Profit and Growth Plan.
Oversee the development, implementation, and results of category strategies.
Manage ESM cost containment and budget.
Establish, communicate, and implement department plans, objectives, and strategies.
Participate as a member of the ESM Leadership team.
Maintain an active awareness of the business environment, corporate culture, and structure to support key decision making.
Manage direct reports, systems, and projects to achieve department/unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practices.
Prepare and analyze department/unit plans and reports.
Provide leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area.
Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, promoting teamwork, recognizing outstanding individual and team performance, and maintaining open communications.
Develop staff through coaching, performance feedback, effective performance assessments, and establishing performance and development plans.
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
Eight years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
Solid understanding of procurement strategy development, category management leadership (CMLC), total cost of ownership (TCO), contract management, supplier risk management, and RFx development and execution.
Management skills to initiate, develop, and implement program plans.
Communication and relationship-building skills to lead staff and collaborate with business partners and suppliers.
Results-oriented and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Experience with ARIBA, FIELDGLASS, GIRA, and CONCUR
Experience helping to mature and develop metrics and Road maps.
Previous team management and leadership experience
