Warehouse Supervisor (1805443) – Elyria, OH
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking an experienced professional like you to lead the Warehouse functions at our Elyria, Ohio manufacturing site. In this role, you will be responsible for planning a variety of domestic and international shipping and receiving functions, ensuring that each shipment is safe and secure. Specifically, you will coordinate all site inbound and outbound freight, ensure DOT, IATA IMDG and other regulatory compliance is maintained, and assume responsibility for ensuring inventory control measures are implemented and achieving results as determined by business goals.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the department's key objectives and results, storage handling, shipment of samples and postage parcels and directing the work of Shipping Department employees.

Formula for Success
Demonstrating your ability to resolve logistics and inventory issues quickly and accurately, you will ensure that the department complies with all internal and external audit requirements and institute necessary corrective actions.
Utilizing your strong organizational skills, you will coordinate material receipts to ensure accurate freight bill management and reconciliation of shipping records for incoming and outgoing shipments. You will also review and authorize the payment of 3PL warehousing invoices.
Your commitment to compliance will be vital as you will own responsibility for the dissemination of information to Warehouse Operators and for ensuring compliance to all systems and regulations as they relate to DOT, IMDG, ISO9002 and IATA.
Successfully engaging across the business, you will assist Production Planners, Materials Planner and other logistics functions at the site dealing with lead-time, refining services, deliveries and alternate carrier methods to expedite shipments, in conjunction with outside resources.
Your keen attention to detail will be necessary for ensuring the accurate and timely cycle counting and reconciliation of internal warehouse and off-site warehouses.
Using discretionary judgment to control departmental costs and ensure site objectives are met, you will conduct routine audits of inventoried materials to ensure compliance and effective utilization of warehouse space including working with third party warehouses. You will also review dead stock and provide recommendations.
Your commitment to workplace safety will be essential as you administer Departmental Safety Policies and ensure Operators are working safely and conditions are maintained.
Leveraging your education and experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment (preferably in a union environment), you will direct and coordinate Shipping Department employees' activities by establishing job assignments, overtime requirements, conducting training and administering policies as required in accordance with Company Standards and the Local Labor Agreement. Additionally, you will be responsible for Site security functions and management of the security staff.
Your strong aptitude in various computer software applications, including SAP, MS Office, CassPort, WebCycle and other applications will be a valued asset as you monitor the shipping & receiving queues in SAP for unexpected changes.
