Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to develop and administer the master production schedule and North American distribution plan for all finished goods produced at the Sparta, TN Engineering Plastics compounding facility. The production schedule and distribution plan will be optimized to balance target service levels and working capital investments with plant capabilities. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement of planning systems and processes applied.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related discipline and your work experience in a material management related function, you will develop an achievable master production schedule for designated production plant(s) by managing SAP R/3 planning parameters that drive integrated process, balance the production schedule with defined short term plant capacity constraints, and proactively identify bottlenecks and develop resolution that meets customer and business requirements.
Demonstrating your knowledge in and experience using software tools, including SAP R/3, SAP APO SNP, SCII and MS Office applications, you will facilitate the long-term supply / demand balancing process utilizing SAP-APO Supply Network Planning functionality. This includes managing system planning parameters that drive integration of long term and short term planning processes, proactively identifying and resolving supply imbalances to enable efficient execution of planned production in the short term and working with site planning team to synchronize finished good planning with known raw material supply constraints.
Your sound understanding of material planning processes will be a valued asset as you develop a North American distribution plan for Sparta produced finished goods that is synchronized with the plant production schedule. This includes developing and maintaining appropriate product and group level inventory targets to drive optimization of working capital invested, managing a warehouse replenishment plan that optimizes interplant distribution costs, and facilitating dysfunctional inventory management processes to meet inventory objectives.
Communicating effectively across the business, you will serve as the primary point of contact regarding all supply/demand related inquiries for areas of responsibility. Additionally, you will manage a proactive business communication process that ensures visibility and transparency amongst all key stakeholders.
