Where the Chemistry Happens...
Material Handler – 1804496 – Washington, NJ
This position is at the Washington, NJ Surfactants Plant in the Shipping department.
This position performs all phases of daily logistics operations and requires interaction and coordination with all departments within the plant.
Primary responsibilities include:
Receiving, sampling, and unloading of tank trailers of molten surfactants
Receiving shipments of packaged materials (drums, totes, etc) into the warehouse
Coordinating and loading of outgoing shipments of packaged materials to customers and distribution centers
Operation of liquid drumming equipment to fill both 55 gallon steel drums and 275 gallon IBC's.
Operation of fork lifts and other mobile equipment both inside and outside of the warehouse.
Effective communication skills within the workgroup and with other shifts is necessary, both verbally and electronically through email.
Use of SAP for production posting, inventory, and coordination of shipments.
Good documentation practices and the ability to follow written procedures is necessary.
Any other tasks required to support the production team.

This position will work 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with some overtime including weekends to support a 24 hour production schedule.
Formula for Success: You Will...
General working computer knowledge is preferred, this position utilizes SAP for inventory and shipments, as well as Microsoft Excel and Outlook for planning and communication.
The candidate must be able to meet the physical and mental requirements of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs routinely, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders, and working at various heights is required as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Working knowledge of general plant operation and supporting utilities.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate valves, pumps, switches, etc.
Ability to perform light maintenance work, such as adjusting packing on pumps and valves using small hand tools.
Ability to work in areas both inside and outside in varying weather conditions
