Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, is looking for a highly motivated individual with previous supervisory experience to manage Supply Chain for the hospital.
Under the direction of the Director of Logistical Services, the Manager of Supply Chain will plan, direct and manage all supply chain functions for the hospital, direct the daily activities of assigned staff and department operations and ensure the provision of services. This includes overseeing the processes and operational areas of procurement that include local supply contracting, supply conversions, distribution, product selection and inventory control; supporting and assisting with capital equipment budget development; and working collaboratively with surgical services and other departments to support cost reduction initiatives and manage inventory values.
Requires the ability to provide effective leadership, supervision, staff development/counseling and departmental fiscal controls; demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; knowledge of key activities within the supply chain organization to include purchasing, inventory management, contracting, logistics, A/P finance and value analysis; demonstrated competence in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; the ability to utilize an electronic/automated supply chain procurement system; previous experience in supply chain; and at least 5 years of supervisory/management experience. Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) certificate is preferred.
