This position is part of the Vendor Management Office within Citizens Property Insurance Corporation. Primary duties include scope of work and contract development for competitive solicitations, contract negotiations for competitive solicitations, drafting and review of contract amendments, renewals, and extensions, and the review and negotiation of vendor contracts for purchases outside of the competitive solicitation process.

Model ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens core values, ethics, and information protection policies
Manage a portfolio of contracted vendors, which may include oversight of more than one hundred firms
Develop annual strategic plans and goals for vendor categories within managed portfolio
Responsible for oversight of multiple firms for licensing, contracts, credentials, and performance management
Facilitate monthly operational conference and web calls and quarterly performance reviews
Analyze vendor performance to evaluate compliance with contractual obligations, quality assurance and service levels provided to Citizens. Responsible for performance management related communications and implementation of corrective actions, as necessary
Serve as project lead in coordinating competitive solicitation projects for vendor categories within managed portfolio
Serve as project lead coordinating program implementation and implementation of operational enhancements
Handle Request for Proposal (RFP) collaborating with procurement until completion of review process
Partner with internal departments to produce training materials and programs to facilitate the delivery of training both internal and external, as related to vendor responsibilities and expectations
Manage communications involving support requests, program announcements, and operational questions from vendors.
Conduct operational roundtables and performance reviews with vendors and Citizens’ staff to document and communicate opportunities for improvement to senior management team
Use Citizens’ systems for reporting and monitoring performance measures and communicate trends, as well as, alerts to Citizens management and vendors
Visit select vendors’ corporate locations for relations, business development, and audit purposes
May coach, counsel or train less-experienced staff, may also direct the work of others, may provide input in the performance management, goal setting and review processes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent negotiation skills that meet organizational needs
Ability to solve complex problems through analytical approaches
Ability to use web conferencing tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, to include Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Visio
Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures for the unit
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to make presentations to groups of 25 or more
Relationship development skills in the area of vendor management, sales, or customer service
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree OR four (4) years relevant experience OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to four (4) years of college
Five (5) or more years of vendor management experience. A Master’s degree and three (3) years of vendor management experience may substitute for the five (5) or more years
Two (2) or more years of project management experience
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Florida Certified Contract Negotiator (FCCN)
Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM)
Facilitation and management of public meetings
Seven (7) or more years of vendor management experience
Four (4) or more years of project management experience
Formal training in project management principles and practices
Related professional work experience within the property and casualty insurance industry, information technology industry, and/or business unit specific experience
This position requires the ability to work in a highly energetic and flexible work environment. Ability to sit, hear and converse over the telephone, and key frequently on a computer. Position may require periodic overnight travel including lengthy catastrophe response.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
