Zotos was recently acquired by Henkel (Dec. 2017) and is embarking on an integration and revitalization of the Geneva factory. The Operations Director must be energized and excited by these changes as they will be the key leadership role in the factory. Responsible for the oversight of the manufacturing operations at the Geneva NY facility. Ensure that the factory safety is CPMG World Class. Drive product quality results to comparable CPMG standards. Drive customer service levels in partnership with Supply Chain and Logistics. Oversee the effective management of the workforce, including training, compliance to GMP standards, etc.
Planning: Provide guidance and direction to the production functions based on sales-driven production schedules. Foresee crewing needs and budget for anticipated headcount needs. Liaise with procurement to ensure components and raw materials are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
Performance: Drive the production departments OEE through strategic operational excellence.
Ensuring Profits: Guide production department leadership to drive Safety results of zero injuries, reduce scrap, waste, and rework; maintain manning costs below standard costing; minimize overhead expenditures.
New business development: Support new product launches and produce products to new specifications.
Quality and Productivity: Enhance quality and productivity through changing culture from control to assurance; guiding, training, and leading the activities of the workforce. Instill continuous improvement concepts through application 5-S and feedback on behaviors.
Customers and Other External Relationships: Interact with Business leaders, Neighbors & Customers regarding Operational initiatives and launches. Lead externally as a voice of Zotos promoting and socializing our values of fairness and equity in the community. Contribute to social well being of the community.
Environmental and Social Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations as they apply to the safe and healthy manufacture of our products. Work in collaboration with SHE to ensure continued compliance as laws and regulations change. Train workforce to adhere to and embrace these principles.
Human Resources Development: Provide guidance and leadership to ensure that our treatment of the workforce adheres to Henkel principles. Work in conjunction with the SHE & HR department to take swift and appropriate corrective action when required. Provide personal growth opportunities through internal career mentoring.
Building Organizational Strength: Provide an operating environment conducive to efficient and safe productivity. Ensure the company productivity goals and expectations are clearly outlined to enable unified success to the overall performance of the company.
Four year college degree in related field plus 15+ years applicable experience showing increased levels of responsibility, Master’s degree preferred
Led/been a key team member of a factory OEE transformation in a CPMG organization
Experience drafting a plan to triple OEE from mid 20's and execute
Executes with sustainability at core focus.
