The Supply Management Intern Program is for students that have completed their first year in their respective Master’s program. As a Supply Management Intern you will be provided with opportunities to develop an understanding of John Deere's products and services, establish a network of people to support personal and professional growth, and gain experience in sourcing, the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), and the Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP).
The Supply Management Development Program is for new or recent graduates.Supply Management professionals at John Deere have a variety of career opportunities including: operational support (order fulfillment process), cost management, logistics, strategic sourcing, supplier development, product delivery process and new product development. Assignments like these will allow you demonstrate your capabilities while contributing directly to the company's strategies and initiatives. In each project and assignment, you will work to meet specific objectives, demonstrate your knowledge and skills, and maintain a training regimen that develops the competencies you will need for world-class supply management.
Full-time positions are also available within our Supply Management function.
What will you do?
Provide support to the development and execution of strategies and contracts for commodities of lower value and less complexity.
Assist with cost models, make vs. buy studies, spend analysis, invoice issue resolution and other data analyses.
Work with Strategic Sourcing to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
Execute Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) with cost reduction activities, analyzing quotations, and making supplier selections based on criteria such as quality, cost, process capability, lead time and supplier stability.
Support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process and facilitate design changes and product improvements.
Drive continuous improvement of performance and lowest total cost with the Supply Base utilizing Achieving Excellence process and criteria.
Do you have what it takes?
Pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Management, Production Operation Management, Distribution Management, Production Planning, Purchasing, Transportation/Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related degree.
Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
We have internship and development program locations across the United States so youmust be willing to relocate and travel domestically.
