Procurement professional experienced in preparing, negotiating, managing and coordinating agreements supporting categories related to information technology services. Participates in the collaboration with business colleagues in the execution of procurement strategies. Evaluates and selects suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and capability. Ensures competitive pricing and service model versus value proposition, industry trends and market place dynamics. Participates in supplier relationship management initiatives. Identifies and drives continuous improvement. Oversees contract implementation and supplier performance/interaction; involved with resolving operational issues
Tasks & Responsibilities
Utilizing category management levers and practices, implement category management strategies which may include development of category playbooks.
Participate in client engagement with internal stakeholder communities to understand requirements and collaborate on solutions.
Lead supplier relationship management to drive delivery of best in class performance and innovative products and services.
Understand market dynamics, labor rates/market rates, etc. that impact assigned categories.
Consult with internal stakeholders to facilitate well defined scopes of work with clear deliverables.
Drive the use of auction tools, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and/or sealed bids to optimize the procurement process.
Lead supplier selection processes.
Negotiate and deliver savings to meet business requirements and procurement organization objectives.
Consistently examine opportunities to create leveraged agreements, as appropriate.
Identify areas of risk related to assigned categories and solutions for mitigation
Negotiate terms & conditions and compose agreements.
Resolve supplier performance issues.
Lead and enable effective resolution of emergency sourcing needs.
Calculate and report accomplishments in all appropriate systems.

BA / BS degree with preferred focus on Sourcing & Logistics, and/or equivalent work experience
1-3 years demonstrated procurement experience required
Knowledge of information technology telecommunications categories required
Experience in negotiating agreements/contracts with strong comprehension of legal and commercial terms and conditions
Experience in working with intellectual property concepts and contractual language
Project management experience or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or certification must be obtained within the first 12-24 months)
