Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business, Department of Supply Chain Management, has an opening for a fixed-term instructor or assistant professor for the 2019-2020 academic year. Duties for the position include teaching and service responsibilities. Salary and terms are negotiable depending on experience and rank.
Anticipated teaching assignments include both large lecture and online courses, with sections of 200+ students. The position involves teaching and service responsibilities during the fall and spring semesters with opportunities to teach during summer.
Doctorate -preferred in supply chain management
The position requires a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited university for instructor rank; assistant professor rank will require a PhD. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience. Candidates must have a strong interest and background in supply chain management. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory level as well as more advanced SCM courses at the undergraduate level and to interface with the supply chain management community.
An ideal candidate will have prior experience in teaching supply chain management courses and demonstrated ability to work with executives. Experience and interest in logistics, transportation, manufacturing or service operations, and/or procurement/sourcing is highly desirable.
