Responsible for daily operations of distribution, receiving and logistics services. Accountable for ensuring supply cost related to PAR Management areas remain at or below budget. Manages vendor relationships and credentialing to ensure vendors who are on-site are properly credentialed prior to approving appointments on nursing floors or having access to patients. Supports Director of Supply Chain management to ensure departments are utilizing contract compliant supplies and ensures that contract conversion products are implemented and stocked in a timely manner. Works with nursing and procedure based departments (OR, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab) to refine business processes and enhance quality as it relates specifically to supply chain and all aspects of receiving, inventory and distribution. Represents the internal customer and the organization by focusing efforts on maximizing quality, minimizing costs and integrating individual departmental goals within system supply chain objectives. Directly responsible for developing staff work schedules and tasks assignments. Directly responsible for on-boarding and Enterprise Business Process (EBP) training as well as continuing training of staff as it relates to the functions of receiving, supply, replenishment, OR case pick, mail and equipment as applicable. Responsible for development and analysis of reports directly related to functions of logistics and operations. Works within established departmental budget. Responsible for trending supply utilization within clinical departments and modifying operations to support those trends.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates Degree preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
3 Years Progressive Healthcare Supply Chain Management experience or 5 years of non-healthcare supervisory experience
Proficient with Microsoft Windows Outlook, Excel, Word and beginners knowledge of PowerPoint
Lawson ERP experience, preferred
Excellent communication skills
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an *)
Manages all on-site Supply Chain Staff, and support systems (to include Lawson) to maintain the daily workflow of logistics, receiving and supply distribution where applicable. *
Oversees receiving and distribution functions and provides supervision of deliveries to hospital and to all satellite offices supported by the facility. *
Manages and oversees the complete process of return goods to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of return. *
Actively round with Supply Chain Staff and user departments to identify service issues and resolve in a timely manner. *
Responsible for appropriate staff coverage on a daily basis of direct reports. *
Ensure Supply Chain Staff adhere to established Enterprise Business Processes as designed. *
Councils and troubleshoots Supply Chain issues with the Supply Chain Staff as needed. *
Participates in the audit of Supply Chain Enterprise Business Processes as utilized by Supply Chain and provides appropriate training and/or retraining based on audits. *
Provides on-site customer service to all customers. *
Serves as a liaison between facility customers and Supply Chain Service Center. *
Insures that goods are distributed in a timely manner with a minimum of errors to maintain adequate supply levels on PAR Locations, and carts. *
Continually monitor and assess delivery times, accuracy and Vendor fill-rates to ensure quality customer service. *
Ensures that PAR Locations are kept current by auditing and following established Enterprise Business Processes (EBP's). *
Assist the Director Supply Chain with the management of and interaction with Sales and Vendor representatives regarding new supplies, recalls and problems related to supply availability and vendor credentialing. *
Identify process improvement and cost saving opportunities and communicate those to Director of Supply Chain Management. *
Set up physical inventory locations consistent with good inventory practices. *
Support Supply Chain Director with identified budget initiatives. *
Works within established departmental budget. *
Responsible for trending supply utilization within clinical departments and modifying operations to support those trends. *
Assist Director Supply Chain with departmental productivity and other duties as assigned. *
Assist Director Supply Chain with meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicator targets. *
Assist Director Supply Chain with the development and analysis of reports directly related to functions of logistics and operations. *
