Under general supervision, the VP Supply Chain implements and administers a comprehensive supply chain management strategy on a company- wide basis. The primary objective is to ensure that quality based initiatives are implemented in order to gain the greatest value from CHC’s supply expenditures and resource utilization.

Proficient knowledge of healthcare supply chain best practices including purchasing, inventory management systems, procurement, supplies distribution/operations and contracting, capital equipment and automated systems
Proficient knowledge of accounting and information systems, the management of Hospital Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS)

Support the SVP CHC Supply Trust in minimizing overall costs and maximizing the savings and benefits attributable to implementation of the Supply Chain business plan
Manages Corporate Supply Chain functions to include PPI contracting, hospital level Materials Management Department operations and procurement practices, inventory distribution and logistics
Manage the global supply chain performance metrics to ensure operational performance goals are met
Develops product specifications for bid requirements and assist with negotiations of contracts with suppliers for the purchase of capital and non-capital products and services
Researches and evaluates products/services and supplier performance in support of existing and/or new contacts
Ensures utilization of CHC’s national agreements
Participates in meetings as a technical resource for purchases and ensures quality products/services are provided
Analyzes and recommends operational policies and procedures relative to Supply Chain’s technology practices and suppliers
Develops and prepares reports and presentations on usage statistics, purchasing trends, marketing data and savings relative to competitive bidding and national agreements
Develops and maintains relationships with all levels of Company management to serve as technical resource when needed
Performs budgetary research for capital equipment planning and procurement
Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a unit work environment that reflects performance improvement and customer service program consistent with the Corporation’s Mission Statement
Supervises the Corporate Directors of Supply Chain
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost conscious manner, complying with all CHC’s polices, procedures and regulations
The VP also helps to coordinate all Supply Chain activities and acts as SVP CHC Supply Trust in the absence of the SVP
Indirectly creates an environment in which needs of facility Material Managers can be met so that they develop and exhibit a high level of productivity and commitment to their Facility and can meet the needs of departmental customers, co-workers and others they encounter during their work
Exhibits appropriate quality service behaviors in meeting and/or exceeding the needs of departmental customers, co-workers and others they encounter as representative of CHC
Upholds and supports the company’s mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives
10-years healthcare materials management experience with at least 5-years supervisory experience.
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in business or health care administration or other related field required.
