Transportation Analyst – Florham Park, NJ (1803572)
Where the Chemistry Happens
As a key resource within the Chemical Intermediates Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for all facets of transportation for Chemical Intermediates. This position is responsible for supporting the transportation strategy in optimizing freight costs and service levels for all North America Inbound/Outbound material movements, handling of day-to-day transportation issues as well as KPI creation and reporting.

Engaging across functions in BASF, you will successfully influence others to resolve day-to-day carrier related issues for the business.
Leveraging your educational background in Supply Chain, Business or a related field, and your professional experience, you will be the primary liaison between the business and corporate transportation platforms (Transplace (bulk, rail and package command centers), transportation procurement and customer care organizations.
Your excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills will allow you to perform data analysis and reporting for transportation performance management including costs, non-conformances (NCMs), demurrage, transport reliability and carrier performance.
Your superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of transportation management will allow you to resolve freight payment issues within our 3 rd party freight payment provider's website.
Utilizing collaboration skills, you will support the business with freight rate analysis including rail, bulk truck, LTL and TL shipments.
Your strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments is critical to this role.
Your critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential in managing transportation related projects such as new plant start-ups, onboarding new 3PLs, modal shifts, customer collaborations and driving First Order Process (FOP)
