The Product Designer will be based in Woerden, NL. The main responsibility is to work on the design of our actuators including the review and development of existing drafts as well as adding innovative and technically justified own ideas to it. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Design and detailed modeling of precise mechanical actuators based on specifications set within the project.
Participating in multidisciplinary project teams as a point of contact with regards to product design.
Guiding of and collaborating with the involved model maker and test engineer together with documenting, analyzing and reporting the test results.
Overseeing the relevant verification and validation processes.
Supervising a co-development process with suppliers in consultation with SQE and SRM.
Advising in technical questions from our customers as subject matter expert.
Supporting the research team in the development of concepts.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor/Master degree in the relevant field (such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering)
Experience with working in a similar role together with knowledge about electronics as well as material (mainly plastics, also metal)
Ideally knowledge of and experience with Automotive standards and the Automotive quality system
Proficient user of a 3D CAD software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English, German is a plus
Solution orientated team player, but at the right time also assertive
Creative, innovative mind mixed with being good at analyzing technical problems and structured problem solving
Great ability understanding how mechanisms work
Eagerness to take initiatives and to also work individually
