IT Strategic Sourcing Project Manager (R18-340)
The Strategic Sourcing Project Manager reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager with dotted-line reporting to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for developing and deploying strategic sourcing activities for key Information Technology (IT) initiatives. These strategic sourcing initiatives may span all IT categories of spend, comprised of approximately $90 million in addressable annual spend.
Specific responsibilities may include:
Identifying sourcing initiatives through historical spend data analysis, IT industry opportunity assessment(s), personal experience, and CIO vision.
Collaborating with subject matter experts from various departments to develop requirements and supplier evaluation criteria.
Driving the procurement process, including Request for Proposals (RFPs) for IT goods and services in compliance with PGE procurement guidelines.
Managing the overall contracting process with strategic providers of IT goods and services; and
Providing on-going oversight of key IT supplier relationships.
Participating in the development of the operating model within the IT organization to fully leverage strategic contracting efforts.
Bring the following skills to our team:
Extensive and increasing experience in complex and multi-year strategic sourcing activity for contracts and engagements with annual spend of $10M or more.
Experience facilitating the contract process and managing supplier relationships.
Experience procuring goods and services within the IT space including desktop computing hardware and software, enterprise software licensing, software as a service (SAAS), enterprise database management software and related hardware, telecommunications software and hardware, and/or IT infrastructure maintenance services.
Working knowledge of ITIL standard processes
Prior experience with PeopleSoft ERP preferred but not required
Formulating effective sourcing strategies that accomplish performance and savings goals, anticipate potential threats or opportunities, and are consistent with company and organization goals and policies.
Delivering clear and convincing oral presentations to individuals or groups and facilitates an open exchange of ideas.
Developing, communication and executing complex negotiation plans and strategies
Using persuasion and informal influence to gain cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals.
Managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
Maintaining contract data in the corporate ERP and records systems (PeopleSoft, SharePoint, eRecords).
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships to drive engagement and deliver value
The successful candidate will typically have Minimum of ten years of IT-specific procurement experience and a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field. Master’s preferred. CPSM or CPIM preferred. Valid driver’s license with evidence of safe driving habits required.
