Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Digital Agriculture Innovations Team (www.isudigitalag.org) within the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Assistant II position. This position will assist in business and operational administrative functions of the research team.
The duties of this position encompass three functional areas; 1) Business Administrative, 2) Operations Administrative, and 3) Procurement. Business Administrative functions include planning and executing hospitality and logistics of business meetings with external clients, management of undergraduate payroll processing, and business documentation to meet record retention requirements. Operations Administrative functions include executing space planning and supply chain delivery functions. Procurement functions include direct purchasing of supplies and services as well as documentation and reallocation of charges. Daily communication with team members is expected.
The ideal candidate is well-organized, deadline driven, and able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. Emphasizing a service first mentality and cultivating key relationships and partnerships in support of the mission, as well as efficient and effective verbal and written communication are vital to the success of this position.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 5 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree. Experience with business unit functions and business systems. Experience managing events. Experience with process improvement. Experience leading in a professional environment. Experience with project coordination.
