Direct and monitor the activities of the assigned area of warehouse ensuring accurate accountability of equipment, raw materials (may include hazardous materials) and/or finished goods. Ensure shipment accuracy to meet window compliance and inventory reliability. Coordinate communication with other departments as required. Train staff members as needed to meet process requirements.
This is a 1st shift position. Days are Monday - Friday with Saturday's as needed. Hours are 8am - 4:30pm.
-Ensure compliance with OSHA and any other environmental/occupational guidelines.
-Ensure all shipping/receiving/warehousing loading/unloading procedures are followed.
-Ensure relative documentation is created and/or entered into computerized system for all incoming/outbound shipments.
-SAP knowledge is a requirement and critical to future business needs.
-Comply with Internal Control, ISO-9000, G.Q.S. (Global Quality System).
Ensure group compliance with company, client, and governmental policies and regulations.
-Continue to enhance knowledge of job related operations.
-Perform other duties as needed.
-2 years supervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
-High School Diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelors Degree preferred
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
-Must possess good communication skills as well as organizational and problem solving skills.
-Must be able to use CRT, PC, scanners, calculators and related equipment.
-Must have SAP knowledge
-Working knowledge of MRP and JIT preferred.
-Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required
-Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
