The Segment Sourcing Manager will coordinate and execute supply chain activities to sustain and grow KJLC’s business levels for distributed and manufactured goods within an assigned product group.
Key Job Elements:
Mange daily activities of procurement personnel assigned to Business Segment Identifies and develops potential new suppliers and effectively manages supplier relationships at multiple levels Maintains expertise in assigned product groups: Monitoring market conditions and applicable pricing indexes Identifies, develops, and implements sourcing strategies to reduce total cost and improve sustainability of KJLC supply chain Manages moderately to highly complex Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quote (RFQ) as required Directly negotiates or oversees negotiations with key suppliers. Effectively implements strategic supplier strategies and initiatives. Effectively communicates sourcing strategies, results, and metrics to leadership teams as required Process purchase requirements to satisfy sales order, production order, and stocking requirements Coordination of logistics for product movement throughout KJLC’s global distribution centers for most effective use of facilities and personnel to increase customer service while holding costs to a minimum Evaluate and recommend stocking levels based on historical transactions and sale forecasts to minimize global inventory required to satisfy customers. Perform vendor onsite evaluations, audits, and inspections as required Coordinate Supply Chain efforts with associated Business Segment Mangers, Product Managers and/or Material Control to maximize value to KJLC
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum 3-5 years’ experience and/or education in procurement or supply chain positions Working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets Working knowledge of purchasing techniques including RFQs, blanket orders and product demand discounts that improve strategic costing capabilities Preferred
