The Practice Manager for the Primary Care West-Side location provides leadership and operational direction to the core operational functions of the primary care clinic and other functions including: building management, centralized check in functions, regulatory affairs, supply chain for logistics and pharmacy, facilities, construction and environmental services). Position will be responsible for the implementation of standard work, communication with all practice staff, providers and medical directors regarding issues impacting operations, regulatory affairs, construction projects and other strategic initiatives.
This key practice leadership position develops the clinical programs of these units, assuring quality care and continuity for patients and families. He/she is responsible for guiding/overseeing day-to-day business and clinical operations, which includes all human resources functions, compliance and staff development of RNs, CMAs, and PAS Specialists. This position has a strong role in promoting performance improvement across these distinctly different practice areas. The Practice Manager works under the guidance of the VP for Ambulatory Care and in collaboration and partnership with OHSU School of Medicine Department/Division Managers. Position provides oversight of separate and distinct outpatient services including oversight of flow of patients, coordinating efforts of clinical staff, and ensuring efficient use of resources. The Practice Manager leads in supporting diversity, creativity and an environment characterized by a strong ethic of trust, respect, and cooperation. This position requires the ability to work as a collaborative team member on the management team, including building a professional partnership with the Physician Leaders, Department/Division Leaders, Medical Directors, and other outpatient practice managers and nursing staff.
