Working in a fast-paced environment, the Category Manager is responsible to manage multiple strategic categories as identified by Corporate Supply Chain. Electronics/Electromechanical is the primary category (i.e. printed circuit assemblies, wire harnesses, switches, motors, etc.) This person will manage greater than $10MM in annual spend and monitor specific Key Performance Indicators for each managed category (including PPM, Delivery, Average Cost Per Piece, Number of Suppliers, Average Payment Terms). Category Management requires working closely with the various Business Units and global manufacturing locations to understand their requirements and expectations.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area, or Technical degre
•Minimum five years Purchasing Experience. •CPSM Certification •Working knowledge of ERP, Lean Manufacturing •Excellent communication/negotiating skill, Ability to lead global, virtual teams •Proven track record of improving quality, delivery, cost with suppliers. •Multi-cultural team leadership experience. •Good working knowledge of global supply market capabilities, pricing policies, best practice category management, spend management, tools and templates, and effective stakeholder management.
