Where the Chemistry Happens...
This position is responsible for the safe, quality and cost-effective execution of goods movements (shipping and receiving) for the site. This function includes scheduling and preparing for the loading and unloading activities for domestic and export shipments for packaged, bulk, rail, and waste shipments, as well as on-site material movements as required. This position requires daily communication with other personnel both on- and off-site.

Formula for Success: You Will...
Manage shipping and transportation at the McIntosh site including bulk, export, packaged, miscellaneous, rail, and waste. These shipments include direct customer shipments, shipments to warehouses, air and ocean export shipments, off-line miscellaneous shipments, rail shipments for both loaded and empty railcars, bulk and non-bulk waste shipments, and bulk/non-bulk hazardous waste shipments.
Schedule carriers for loading and unloading based on time requirements, service factors, and equipment availability.
Monitor and manage open orders, deliveries, and shipments for customers and other warehouses. Interact with internal and external partners to ensure timely execution of shipments. Coordinate utilization of warehouse personnel and equipment. Ensure customer-specific requirements are met.
Handle receipt verification for all inbound materials for site into SAP. Assist security as needed for gate entry. Process any inbound Advanced Shipping Notifications, as well as perform COA verifications for inbound raw materials. Perform some tolling functions (producing and shipping) prior to receiving to McIntosh.
Maintain all required shipping files.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Supply Chain experience in shipping and transportation preferred.
SAP shipping and transportation experience is a plus.
Prior background and working knowledge of SAP modules for Production and QM preferred.
Proficient computer skills (e.g., Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office applications).
