As part of the Tip and Microcentrifuge Business Operations team, you will be responsible to drive the Manual Pipet Tip and Microcentrifuge tube (MCT) business performance by increasing top line revenue (sales) via our global commercial organization and improving the bottom line (gross margin) by reducing cost and inventory write offs with our manufacturing organization. You will work with our global manufacturing location engineering and quality personnel (CHN, USA & MEX) as a business operations lead in order to maintain and improve existing products as well as design and launch new products to the 5 years portfolio roadmap and the global Tip and MCT business strategy for Corning Life Sciences.
Review monthly and quarterly P&L with Business team and finance
In charge of product family reporting for products on backorder and inventory replenishment
Respond to product function or quality driven customer complaints with root cause analysis and resolution time frame
Work with Channel to maintain distributor promotions and needs
Resolve manufacturing plant specific product needs regarding specifications and claims
Contribute in long term Product pipeline development and/or continuous Improvement
Manage New product process for products under Rapid Innovation (Forecast, Channel and commercial launch)
Align with CLS Branding team strategy for brand placement regionally or globally
Work with customer service on customer and distributor needs at the product sku level
Engage with commercial to drive top line revenue with review of open opportunities, and promotions that are either account specific
Define annual pricing by region and promotional growth initiatives
Work with key dealers to develop marketing programs and gain support on growing sales
Work with MarCom team to develop marketing content and collaterals (print and electronic)
Work with MarCom on customer facing product shows to attend
Approve and communicate Products changes internally and externally with customer notifications
Support Product complaint process and provide feedback to commercial and channel
Involved in monthly review of product forecasting
Travel Requirements: 30-40% including international travel
Required Education and Experience:
BS Degree- in Business or Sciences required (MBA preferred)
Desired 2+ years of business experience in product management, marketing, and/or sales. Ideally some experience in a commercial role within the Life Science Industry
Strong business opportunity assessment and financial analysis skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with global teams remotely
Excellent communications skills – written and verbal – French language is a plus
Ability to drive new products projects as the commercial lead
