POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the implementation and leadership of Materiel/Supply Chain Management for Bon Secours Virginia and the Shared Procurement Services for Bon Secours Health System (BSHSI). This position provides leadership for local system-level supply chain and related operational functions in deploying and enhancing Bon Secours Health System’s enterprise operating model, leveraging BSHSI’s purchasing power and working together with local system leaders to bring about measurable savings.
This position will support the BSHSI Clinical Value Analysis program that spearheads cost and utilization management initiatives in P\Operating Room, Pharmacy, Nursing, and other high-impact functions. This position will provide leadership for the implementation and ongoing direction of a Shared Procurement Services department that will perform purchasing transactions for all BSHSI Local Systems and facilities through the Lawson Purchased Order process.
Finally this position will serve as the key liaison between other System-level consolidated Supply Chain functions, including Data Management, System Administration, Logistics/Inventory Management and Contracting, and the Management staff and end users of BS Virginia.
JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Masters Degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration, Information Systems or related clinical degree is required. Certification as a Professional in Health Care Materiel Management is desirable. 2. A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years experience in healthcare executive-level positions-in the management of supply chain operations is required: managing within multi-facility health system environment is highly desirable. 3. Experience in maximizing value from large enterprise investments, as well as directing performance reporting and metrics across multiple healthcare entities is highly desirable. 4. Previous experience leading and mentoring a team of managers is mandatory. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated customer service orientation; proven project management skills and experience; computer literacy, with solid knowledge of basic PC and email tools. Understanding of Lawson ERP applications is desirable.
