This position is responsible for managing all processes and systems used for supply management of the given portfolio. This includes order execution (import, 3rd party, and domestically produced), management of inventory, inventory disposition strategies, KPI performance, master data management (as it relates to materials management and planning), identification and resolution of demand/supply imbalances, and leader of the S&OP meeting. It requires collaboration with Customer Care, Logistics, Procurement, Product Management, and Global Source partners. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
The Master Production Scheduler (MPS), as a member of the North American Supply Chain team, is responsible for converting demands (forecasts, customer orders, internal orders) into production orders/replenishment orders/supply plan at the APG plant in Cincinnati, OH.

Formula for Success: You Will...
Manage the Production Schedule and Raw Material management for APG Cincinnati assets.
Responsible for overall production plan of APG plant, packaging schedule, and raw material and package procurement, for the 0-6-month time horizon.
Take into account the forecast, new business opportunities, backlog, availability of material, available capacity including tank capacity, and management policies and goals.
Responsible for raw material procurement per the APG production plan requirements.
Use SAP to develop campaigns and creation of corresponding process orders.
Work with the output of the S&OP to manage capacity and utilization for manufacturing to achieve customer requirements and corporate goals.
Key contributor at APG demand validation meetings.
Responsible for capacity balance reporting for APG asset at the S&OP meeting.
Supply management of new product launches.
Drive planning improvements.
Manage supply planning-related master data.
Monitor customer orders, stock status, and exception messages in SAP, ensuring supply is available to support business plan.
Manage communication with Customer Service and Product Managers on availability issues.
Collaborate with Product Management when a shortage situation arises by providing the supply plan to support allocation plan development and execution.
Communicate shortage situation including details needed for Supply Chain Alert notification process.
NA FOH and ME Supply Network Management
Responsible for the overall FOH and ME demand-supply and inventory balance to support all site planners that use FOH and ME.
Lead EM FOH and ME Demand-Supply Balance Meeting.
Provide FOH and ME forecasts to Procurement and Global EM sourcing partners for consolidated EM NA requirements.
Interface with Global EM FOH and ME supply points to maximize BASF EM capacity utilization and cost minimization.
Manage master data and inventory management to targets
Quality and Inventory KPI contributions and management:
Support TRIR and safety-related KPI's and objectives.
NCM (non- conformance management) investigator for product availability related NCM's.
Accountable for inventory health and collaboration with Operations and Product Management on off-spec disposition.
Establish inventory target and track/communicate progress toward Inventory value (OIV) and days of Inventory (DIV).
Analyze KPI trends to identify areas of opportunity and implement improvement where applicable.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience required, preferably in Supply Chain or a business-related field e.g., Customer Care, Supply Chain, Product Management, Project Management, Procurement, Operations, Production).
SAP experience strongly preferred, including SAP ERP scheduling module, SAP APO DP, and SNP.
A thorough understanding of production scheduling theory and techniques, particularly in experience in managing inventory. Raw material management desirable, but not required.
Experience in supply planning is required.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and make value-added contributions in a multi-function team environment to achieve goals
Excellent organizational and collaborative skills; able to handle multiple, concurrent tasks effectively.
Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Access.
Execution oriented with strong problem solving skills.
Ability to set priorities and make decisions in a dynamic and complex work environment in a time sensitive manner
Ability to establish a plan and drive its execution to successfully deliver results to meet or exceed business objectives
Proven experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement
Self motivated, strong analytical thinking capability, proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
