The Sr Mgr North America Supply Chain Mgmt will lead and direct strategic corporate-wide supply chain programs for the organization. Create purchasing strategies within the organization by identifying and capitalizing on cross-functional opportunities to create efficiencies, manage quality and leverage vendor volumes globally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Manage all documentation of supply programs through development and execution of contracts.
Direct and manage food cost models to determine best cost sourcing options, based on commodity cost and product price formulas, exiting regional volumes, market development plans, logistics costs, and ensuring Gold Standard Quality specifications.
Identify, track and report cost data, including savings, avoidances and increases and effectively communicate expected market cost changes.
Collaborate with PJI International, R&D/QA, to oversee and manage the implementation of supply chain programs.
Manage effectively a network of 20+ supply partners who are responsible for $110 million in commodity and product purchased for PJ Food Service (PJFS) Quality Control Centers (QCC).
Perform market and logistical analysis to formulate and execute efficient purchasing strategies.
Develop and manage programs to control the price risk associated within the area of responsibility.
Manage annual and periodic budget and cost projections for purchased items.
Identify, negotiate and implement supply partner agreements, formula-based pricing and freight and production components.
Develop forecasts and monitor market trends and achievement process for commodity purchases.
Establish and execute of freight, banking terms, customer service lead times and minimum inventory requirements.
Program manager responsibilities for new product/promotional calendar with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with Product Managers to develop and drive cooperative business plans with key suppliers.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies, to ensure supply at best cost for all food, packaging and supplies required to operate restaurants within the market regions identified.
Monitor and manage supplier performance levels and communicate to across organization all supplier performance information. Participate in semi-annual supplier scorecard analysis.
Serve as the primary contact for problem resolution of supply chain related issues.
Serve as Supply Chain function representative to Leadership Teams as required.
DESIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Excellent financial and analytical skills required.
Knowledge of purchasing concepts, practices and procedures required.
Proficient PC skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle and PeopleSoft.
DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field required
5+ years experience required in purchasing commodities
