Salary: $8,200.77 - $9,991.82 Monthly

Under direction, plans, supervises and reviews the work of professional contract administrators and procurement specialists responsible for the solicitation, review, analysis and drafting of both standard and non-standard Agency contracts and agreements and the Agency's procurement activities; ensures the Agency meets its fiduciary and legal responsibilities in regards to contracting and procurement; monitors and resolves customer and vendor concerns; and performs related duties as assigned.
A Contracts and Procurement Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff engaged in contracts administration and procurement. The incumbent manages, develops and implements the goals and objectives of a centralized contracts and procurement program in compliance with all legal and fiduciary requirements and is responsible for overseeing and negotiating the most complex Agency contracts and agreements. Assignments are broad in scope and allow for a high degree of administrative discretion in their execution.
An employee in this class reports to the Manager of Contracts and Procurement and supervises the work of the contracts administration and procurement sections of the department.
A Contracts and Procurement Supervisor is distinguished from Manager of Contracts and Procurement in that the incumbent in the latter class has full management responsibility for the Agency's contracting, procurement, records and risk management and has broader planning and administration duties.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities is graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, finance, operations management or a closely related field, and at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in public agency procurement and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance program.
Procurement or contract management certifications offered through various professional procurement organizations, such as the Institute of Supply Management (ISM), National Contract Management Association (NCMA), and California Association of Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO) are highly desirable.
